CC put together a retrospective sometime in the late 90’s i think – limited CD release only. I have one of the covers somewhere or another around here, but i like the vibe of the master tape here. This is a pretty cool testament to the output of our old pal over the years. Pretty incredible really. Anyhow, without further ado:

Audio Wreck – Introducing Children’s New Chewable Razors
Audio Wreck’s first release. We recorded this at the A street House on Eric C’s 8 track in mid-2000. CC, Robb, Josh C, and myself. Chris and I recorded the drums and bass first, and then Robb & Josh put on their guitar – followed by the vocals. Chris had this compressor pedal they got funny sounds out of by swinging the mic around in circles real fast. One of my fav’s!
Audio Wreck – 4 Track Mix Down 02/16/2000
This tape is rad. Most of the stuff on here was recorded at Chris and my place above the Ritz. I had just moved back from San Francisco, and Chris & Robb were doing demos. Most all of this is even before Josh joined the band. Also there is an A street practice version of Chewable Razors, and several original demos.
Audio Wreck – Practice 2001
This is Bandon and Nick Audio Wreck era. Some seriously rare shit on here including the short-lived theremin I built in a blue lunchbox. That thing survived 1 practice and 2 shows I believe. This also has rare never-heard Birthday Song tracks.
The First Audio Wreck Show
I believe this was recorded in late 1999 in arcata. I remember the Damned poster that kept getting knocked off the wall and I remember getting so worked up i ended up throwing up at the end of the show in a beer box. Judging from the CC banter at the beginning, This is the very first time ‘Learning How To Die’ and ‘Make Like A Baby’ were played Live.
Audio Wreck – Cover Collision Mixed Master
Early Audio Wreck cassette release – I think we handed out like 20 of them at a Christmas or New Year’s show. Chris, Robb, Josh, and Nick
AudioWreck Practice – Late 2001
The first 20 tracks are from late 2001, but before Sept. 11th (Thats the week I moved). Jon and Tim took over the low end and the last 6 tracks are from then. All pre-2002.
