Here is the thing Jesse, Swan, and Jon came out to do a few years ago. I guess it is kind of a post-Radios In Caves kind of thing – I think some of these tracks were RIC demos at one point. Anyhow, very few people have heard this recording. I think it is great! Final mixes by Will Sargent and myself at Sargent Sound in Austin, TX.
Radios In Caves – Self Titled
This is another Eureka band I am totally annoyed I missed. Never even saw a single dang show. Anyhow, Jesse P, Jon F, Joaquin, and Swan bring us Radios In Caves. I think one other person was in the band but I am not sure who that is. A little help? Anyway, I was lucky enough to get to do some stuff with some of these guys later with a similar vibe. That stuff will be coming along. Final words: this CD is fucking rad.
Arrogant Hare – 11th Hour
Another dang band I missed out on because I lived on the wrong stinking coast. Starring: Jesse, Tommy, Mcgonagle, and crew. I’m sad to have missed this band live.
Audio Wreck – Introducing Children’s New Chewable Razors
Audio Wreck’s first release. We recorded this at the A street House on Eric C’s 8 track in mid-2000. CC, Robb, Josh C, and myself. Chris and I recorded the drums and bass first, and then Robb & Josh put on their guitar – followed by the vocals. Chris had this compressor pedal they got funny sounds out of by swinging the mic around in circles real fast. One of my fav’s!
Phallacy – No Toilet Paper (1984)
Another addition from Justin H – He gives me this info (From Jimmy F):
“They were only a band in Arc/Eur for 84/85. They played a few local shows and parties, but I don’t think they opened for any bigger bands. Spud Dogma played with them quite a few times at parties on Alliance Road where they would have piles of tvs and stuff – and people would take turns smashing them with baseball bats, etc. in the front yard!”
Sounds like my kinda guys. Total mid-eighties kinda punk, kinda rock. Sounds good right now.
Garden Weasel Demo Tape
Thanks to Justin for setting me up with this. These guys were before I started hanging out, but I’ve always heard folks talking about this band. Kinda punk hardcore vibe. Somebody tell me more!
Zac Institute – Self-titled LP release etown-02
Here is Zac and I getting loose in Nashville with our pal Dave V. Recorded at my place and partly at Dave’s sometime in 2012 or 2013 I think. My favorite track on here is ‘You’re The Thing’. Steve did the cover art.
Great Salvation – etown LP release
A classic etown record — The Great Salvation.
This is the version we remastered for the LP release and I am really proud of how the masters came out. Thanks Benny for the ok to put this up here.
Foster Kids – 9 Song Practice Demo
So if you read from my last Foster Kids post ray had given me a practice tape. This is it. 9 raw-ass songs with great energy. Great band!
Foster Kids – 6 Song Demo
Years ago, Ray gave me a Foster Kids tape. It was a practice tape and he always said there was a better “demo” but he had lost it. Well I think this is the one he was always talking about. Thanks to Jensen for getting me the tracks! I still have super fond memories of touring with these guys while they cruised around in ‘mellow car’.
